Winzer Stube German Restaurant and Bar - Hudson, WI

For Valentine's day, my boyfriend and I went to a Germen Restaurant in Hudson. Here's what we had and our ratings. We HIGHLY recommend hitting this place up. The germen beers are phenomenal and the food is just as great.

Crab & Lobster Bisque & Complimentary Bread

The soup was not the ordinary seafood bisque I was used to it had a slightly sweeter taste but it was full of flavor. And the sweetness actually brought the crab and lobster flavor out more.

The complimentary bread was fresh out of the oven. The flavor of the bread was very much like a baguette. The crispy outside and the soft and chewy inside was a great start to the dinner.

SCHLACHTPLATTE

Mettwurst, bratwurst and knackwurst and a smoked pork chop with bread dumplings and sauerkraut and a side of Bavarian mustard

The pork chop was to die for! It was so tender and had so much flavor we could not get over how amazing it was. My boyfriend said it was hands down the BEST pork chop he's ever had. The other meats were great too, but that pork chop was the best part.

WINZERPFANNE GESCHNETZELTES

Veal strips sauteed with button mushrooms and onions in a light cream sauce with wine served with spaetzle and red & white cabbage

Our Rating: 4.5 ⭐

The meat was so tender and the sauce was creamy and had great flavor. The other sides that came out also had great flavor and complimented the veal well. But the pork chop was hard to beat.

Tiramisu Berry Mascato Cake

This dessert was was just the sweet I liked. Light, fluffy, and creamy and the mild sweetness that is just enough to satisfy your craving.

Last but not least the German beers.

Weihenstephan Lager Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Light smooth and easy to drink. I can't drink alcohol while eating because it gets so bitter but this beer was so smooth that I was able to even have dessert and was able to drink it.

Radeburger Pilsner Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had just enough of the pilsner bite but was just as smooth as the lager to drink

Kostritzer Black Lager Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This beer had the smoothness of the lager but had a wonderful coffee flavor. It wasn't as thick as a stout but because of its lighter composition you could taste the coffee flavor more, which was pleasant.
